Seasonal changes to wood
Posted by Super from New York, NY, USA on August 24, 2006

At different times of the year, the wood floors on flat beds tends to dry and shrink or swell. Can this be prevented?

Wood is a product of nature? As it is exposed to the elements, especially ultra violet rays of the sun, it will acclimate to the environment. The way to prevent excessive exposure is to apply a UV inhibitor and water repellant 1 - 2 times annually.
